“We are so pleased to be able to support the Van Buren Civic Fund in this way,” said Craig Atchinson of Atchinson Ford on Belleville Road. “The community really supported our efforts and this donation will help in the Civic Fund’s mission of enhancing the quality of life for the residents of the Township.”
In 2004, the VBCF was established through grants from the Visteon Corporation totaling one million dollars, in order to demonstrate their regard for the community and to be a good business member of the township. Since then, the VBCF has been active in providing grants to various nonprofits operating in Van Buren Township. The VBCF’s purpose is to assist in reducing the burden on the Van Buren Township government through financial support for high-quality services and capital improvements which benefit the citizens of the Township.
