“Van Buren Township has so much to offer in the summer months,” said Scott Jones, President of the VBCF. “I can’t think of a nicer evening than enjoying a concert, our parks and our water front with my family.” The Van Buren Township Summer Concert Series offers musical acts at Van Buren Park on Wednesday nights from July through August. The BACA Music Lakeside program offers concerts every Thursday evening beginning mid-June at Horizon Park and Belleville Lake.
In 2004, the VBCF was established through grants from the Visteon Corporation totaling one million dollars, in order to demonstrate their regard for the community and to be a good business member of the township. Since then, the VBCF has been active in providing grants to various nonprofits operating in Van Buren Township. The VBCF’s purpose is to assist in reducing the burden on the Van Buren Township government through financial support for high-quality services and capital improvements which benefit the citizens of the Township.
